Reaching a high level of performance at any task requires a lot of a person. Patience, tenacity, determination, attitude and a good plan are just a few of the things needed to take your game to the next level. A lot of times, especially in real estate where agents tend to work remotely and can start to feel like an island, we tend to go at these things alone. So, this week’s challenge is to find a good coach to help you grow.
It doesn’t have to be in business. It could be in any area where you are looking to improve your performance like your marriage, your fitness, or your nutrition. Do some research as coaches come in all shapes and sizes, in-person or online, and a real variety of costs. If you’re an agent reading this then I suggest you look for a coach to help you build your business.
There are two things about coaching that I really love and think make it worth the time and money. The first is the power of shared experiences. A good coach has done what you are doing and can relate. More importantly, though, is that they likely have many clients and can share what has been working and what hasn’t been working for others. That can give you a huge leg up. Secondly, a good coach holds you accountable to your goals and the daily or weekly activities that you need to be doing to reach your peak level. Most people, the overwhelming majority, aren’t good at holding themselves accountable, especially to things they hate doing.
So, have a great weekend, and go find your accountability partner.
